Compare all seven high security doors for homes
One construction standard across the range. These are not tiers: the ranges overlap because a walk-in gun room door and a front entrance are different jobs, not better and worse versions of the same thing. All seven are residential security doors. Six are made to measure for the opening they fill rather than a stock size adapted to fit; the seventh is pre-engineered and configured online.
Exterior entrances

High security entry doors, without looking like one
Built for exterior openings, our high security front doors are as stunning as they are secure. Each one is custom crafted for the character of the home, and can include ballistic glass sidelights, transoms, intricate millwork, high-sheen finishes. All while protecting from sophisticated assaults.

Bulletproof doors, when stopping rounds is the requirement
All of our doors can be upgraded beyond the base forced entry resistant level to discreetly include ballistic steel. Welded in to door leaf and frame, the door system can stop multiple rounds, specified from higher power handguns up to military rifles. Doors feature the same hand-crafted cladding and glass options all to the same security levels.

Interior rooms

Panic room doors, built to protect people
The core carries two inches of Rockwool for sound, and the leaf swings out of the room as well as into it, so nobody is trapped by a blocked doorway. Milled to match the hallway doors, because being undetected amplifies a safe room’s security.

Vault room doors, built to protect what is inside
Our custom vault room doors are designed to discreetly protect valuables, whether that is for jewelry, watches, documents, firearms, precious metals, etc. They can double as a panic room. Fire resistant upgrades are available, and biometric access allows for convenient entry and auto-locking exit.

Gun room doors, sized for a walk-in room
Sized for a walk-in room rather than a standard doorway. Thermal insulation discreetly protects the valuables inside, whether that is firearms, jewelry or documents, while the wood cladding keeps it from advertising what is behind it. That is the same reason it keeps children out, and attackers from knowing what is worth taking.

Pocket doors, where a swing will not fit

Armored pocket doors that disappear into the wall
A pocket door that hides in plain sight, engineered for openings with no swing clearance. Hidden overhead tracks, built for the weight, let a light touch slide it shut with multi-point locking. Despite the ballistic-weight steel, it stops powerful assaults and optionally bullets too, with upgrades for electronic locks or motorized lockdown at the push of a button.

Every door in the range starts from the same steel core, the same multiple-layer construction, the same hardware options and the same milled finishes — so the protection is consistent, and so is the way the door sits in a house. Tell us the opening and the threat you’re planning for, and we’ll walk you through which build fits best and why.
What an armored door costs, and what the price includes
The ranges above reflect the complete, finished system — engineered and assembled as one unit, then shipped with its frame. They’re built for security from the ground up and are assembled and tested before shipping.
- Secure steel core
- Custom milled cladding
- Armored frame
- Multi-point locking
- Hinges and hardware
- Insulation and thermal seal

How protection is rated
A bulletproof — or, in technical terms, bullet resistant — door is considered in most people’s minds the sign of powerful security, but there is much more to consider. Our base model doors are tested to US Department of State SD-STD-01.01 Rev H assault standards, a common specification for US Embassies. For ballistics, the steel used is tested to the European FB4 and FB6 standards and specified by protection level.
Forced-entry attack test, conducted to US Department of State standard SD-STD-01.01 Rev H.
Why both scales matter
They describe different attacks and one does not imply the other. A bullet is a single linear piercing force, and the right material — in our case hardened ballistic steel — will stop it from penetrating the door and hurting someone in the room behind. A human attacker brings a far wider range of tools and angles, depending on their level of sophistication: axes, breaching rams, power tools. And unlike a bullet, a human can adapt mid-attack, identify weaknesses, and concentrate effort there. That is what forced-entry resistance is for.
Which one leads depends on the threat you are actually planning for. A street-facing entrance in a visible property is usually a forced-entry problem first. A safe room exists for the moment someone is already inside and armed, so ballistics lead. Most projects specify both, at different levels, which is what moves the price inside each range. Doors like ours, engineered from the ground up to exceed embassy-grade assaults, are specially formed to repel attack from wide ranging angles, powerful tools, and experienced criminals.
Why people choose one over the other. Forced entry is a time calculation; ballistics is a human risk calculation. Forced entry levels are chosen by how long you need protection to hold — what is in the room, how quickly a threat is detected, how long the police response takes. FE-15 is specified where response times are long enough that holding a door for an extra 30 minutes changes the outcome. Ballistics is chosen by who will be in the room and the criminal firearm threats in the area.
Forced entry, US Department of State
FE means forced entry — how long the door holds against a team of attackers working on it at once. Tested to SD-STD-01.01 Rev H.
30+ man-minutes
FE-5 Standard
Six attackers, three 5-minute intervals per door.
4+ man-hours
FE-15 Standard
Six attackers, three 15-minute intervals per door.
What the test involves
Six experts attack the door at the same time with sledgehammers, carpenter hammers, wood-splitting mauls, axes, four to five foot crowbars, chisels, torches and a 120 lb battering ram that takes two men to swing. Having six of them on it at once is a large part of the difficulty. FE-5 and FE-15 differ in how long that goes on for.
Bullet resistance, handguns and rifles
Level describes the class of round the steel is specified to stop.
Handguns
FB4 EU / UL3 US Equiv.
High-power handguns including the .44 Magnum.
Rifles
FB6 EU / UL8 US Equiv.
7.62 x 51 military rifles such as AK-47, M-14, and AR-15.
How the steel is specified
Ballistic steel runs inside the door itself rather than sitting in a panel bolted to one face. The steel itself is tested to the European FB4 and FB6 standards. The assembled door has not been through a UL 752 test of its own, so we describe it by the level it is built to rather than by a label it does not carry — and because the assembly carries more steel than the rated sheet alone, it goes beyond that single-sheet specification.
